This week we learned about how a timecode is set up (the little clock in FCP)
It looks like
00:00:00:00 or HH:MM:SS:FF or Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames
The timecode is helpful for when you need to trim or clip a large video. You can choose the start and finishing timecode and cut out between them.
You can do this in FCP (although I used Sony Vegas) by putting the clip into the trimmer window the setting the start keyframe (key I in Vegas i think it may be the same in FCP) scrolling through till the part of the video you want the setting your end keyframe (O in Vegas) then you can create a subclip.
